Final Project: Le Cité des Mauxnia, site mockup: http://www.manofstone.com/mauxnia/

My project deals with the reintegration of urban wildlife, such as feral cats, pigeons, etc. with the other inhabitants of the city.

Site 01:  Carport behind house located at 45 N. 12th Street, San Jose, CA  95112

This site was chosen because there is a feral cat colony that congregates in the carport behind this house.  Some of the cats don’t get along, so the residents normally have two feeding locations: at the carport and at the stairs leading to the house, but I was able to convince them to centralize both feeding locations at the car port location, so that the animals could be more easily filmed.

During the first test, the animals tripped the sensor over 80 times in 10 hours.  The typical behavior I saw was, nibbling.  Each cat returning to the food about every 10 minutes
