Ekranoplan

Ekranoplan was a story written in english, translated to Russian with a heavy emphasis on using idiomatic expressions, which was then dubbed to the film “The American Friend”, by Wim Wenders in Russian, Runglish (expressions translated word for word) and American English, again, with emphasis on using idiomatic expressions.

Prototype Project

[slidepress gallery='prototype-project'] I fitted high power motors, affixed with heavy guage wire inside of coke bottles, to act as basically large loud vibration motors. Motors were actuated by a knock sensor and ran sequences from an Arduino microcontroller.

Drop Corporate White

[slidepress gallery='drop-corporate-white'] This project is derived from a narrative text, by creating metaphors from found images off of google image search. The images represent word level metaphors while the sound track was built at more of clause, sentence, and paragraph level metaphors.

Parallel Narrative

[slidepress gallery='parallel-narrative'] Parallel imagery was created from a narrative text. Audio was approached in the same fashion. Tech: video was stills from a canon powershot camera edited it FCP and the soundtrack was composed using Ableton Live 5.2.

Genre Project

[slidepress gallery='genre-project'] I worked with Matt Linford on this project. We created Apocalyptic Sci-fi version of part of Citizen Kane.  We both came up with the idea, storyboarding and the actual shooting.  Matt did the editing and post production and I wrote the underlying soundtrack.
